The Special Servicing platform, CWCapital Asset Management (CWCAM), manages distressed and non-performing loans and real estate owned (REO) that are a part of assets under management for CW as well as for third parties. The Special Servicing team utilizes proactive methods to maximize recoveries and mitigate risks and losses so as to enhance investor returns.
The second largest special servicer in the United States, the platform is the named special servicer on 120 CMBS transactions backed by an approximate $162 billion of commercial mortgage loans as well as $2.1 billion in non-securitized loans for institutional clients (totaling approximately 13,000 loans). In recognition of its demonstrated skill and performance, the platform has been awarded the highest rating of CSS1 by Fitch Ratings, as well as the highest ranking of Strong by Standard & Poor's.
